How many of you guys remember this scumbag?

For those of you that don’t let me fill you in. The Rat King is a crazy homeless guy who lives in the sewers right next to the turtles. Think Kramer from Seinfeld, but instead of Newman hanging around, it’s all of the sewer rats of NYC.

At the surface of the Rat King is a handsome, dirty, stinky, mad genius (how else could he make those weapons and learn how to control rats with his mind?), but at his core is a scared, dirty, stinky, homeless man that wants to estabish a rat-ran government. Like Albany!

What is such a handsome guy doing, living in the sewers? I just don’t understand. Was he lonely? Was he a victim of the 80’s Wall Street collapse? Maybe he is just a fucking nut-bag. All the other characters seem to think so.

Perhaps his action figure could lend some insight into the man. (Probably not though as these fucking things were so inconsistent it drove my 5 – 9 year old mind crazy, possibly turning me into a future Rat King)

Well, he has a cat as a loin cloth, hot. Also he shoots rats from a cross bow, and has a grappling hook made of rats……….. He’s a fucking cook.

The Rat King’s fashion sense always appealed to me. Tight thermals and mummy wrappings. Looks like a trendsetter to me. (no seriously -> ) He’s just an “Artist” folks, leave him alone. The rats symbolize what a dirty piece of shit he is.

Anyways, this guys a fucking lunatic. Here is the Full episode of the TMNT Episode called “Wrath of the Rat King” where the Rat King is hired by Shredder to take care of the turtles while Krang tries to figure out how to get his never-used super weapon from Dimension X. Also, there is a good bit about news media. Fitting!

Also: Rat King is voiced by Townsend Coleman, who went on to be the voice of some of the most iconic cartoon characters ever. (okay, maybe just The Tick)
