I tried tuning into Curb Your Enthusiasm this season because I’m a sucker for nostalgia. The promise of a new Seinfeld episode was almost too good to pass up… almost. So I watched the first three episodes, laughing here and there. I had my DVR all set to record the fourth episode but fate wouldn’t have it… it didn’t record. For some reason I didn’t catch any more from there, but I really didn’t care. I’m all, meh, when it comes to non-Seinfeld Larry David.

Thanks to wonderful internets, I was able to catch the “new Seinfeld episode” which I was promised in all of Curb’s ‘09 season media hype, without most of that Curb bullshit.
Here it is:
I must say, it’s nice to see my old friends Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer. However, I was also a little meh about this as well. The iPhone and Madoff references seemed forced, the jokes were barely OK, and George’s love interest was unbelievable.
Whether I missed something without watching the Curb parts of the episode or the chemistry just ain’t there anymore.
I walk away disappointed, even more so than the real Seinfeld finale (You know, the one with the good samaritan law)
=/
What did you guys think?
