What Do The First And Last Scenes Of LOST Have In Common?

I know that a lot of you are thinking “God, will you all shut up about LOST already?!” So, I’ll make this brief.

Yesterday, we showed you College Humor’s video which pointed out all of the questions LOST failed to answer in it’s season finale. Even though that kind of pissed me off, because I seriously wanted to know why Walt was so special, I must also say that the TV people behind the show did do enough good in their goodbye to leave many viewers pretty damn happy.

Take for example this juxtaposition between the very first and very last scenes of the series:

That was the first scene of the pilot episode of LOST played backwards and the last scene played forwards, pretty damn cool in my book! Actually, It almost gives me goosebumps.

Very well executed boys, very well executed.

College Humor Reminds Us Of LOSTs Unanswered Questions.

I’ve been letting the LOST finale marinate since Sunday night when it aired, trying to decide exactly how I wanted to interpret the story as a whole. The longer I’ve spent thinking about it, the more some of the unanswered questions bothered me.

This morning, CollegeHumor posted a video listing just about every unanswered question that the LOST finale failed to answer. Some of these I can answer, others i can chalk up to the mysterious nature of the island, but a lot of them just don’t make sense to leave un-answered. Let’s take a looksee…

Gotta give props to College Humor here ::shudders:: this must have taken a bunch of research and painstaking video cataloging. I’m going to be optimistic and hope that a LOST movie will someday answer (at least some of) these questions.

Average DAPS Reader: Watched the LOST Finale Despite Knowing How It Ended Like 6 Years Ago

If you are looking for me to hate on LOST, you’ve come to the wrong place. Go to the right place for that.

Last night I decided to watch the finale of LOST. Now I haven’t seen an episode of this show since season 1, but I kinda got the idea of what was happening because everyone and their mother watched this show and lived their entire life around it. (kinda feel bad these people have literally nothing left now…) So I knew about the time travel and the smoke guy and the doppelganger Locke.

But nothing could prepare me for this….

If you had any brain, you could pretty easily figure out early on that the island/show was a metaphor for something. You just knew that this shit went down on the island was too wacky to be literal… so now what?

AM-DJ: LOST Is Like My Constant, Sounds A Little Strange.. I Know.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m usually a giant sucker for a good sappy montage. I love looking back on a collections of sounds and images that were taken from some movie or television show that I enjoy. That being said, some people making montages are just trying too hard.

Take this terrible crap that is getting by because some people like ANYTHING that collects and organizes things that they recognize. I present to you NJustice League’s “I’ll never be LOST again” a “Hip-hop/R&B anthem” that just may have you reassessing your decision to watch 5.5 hours of LOST this Sunday night.

“Lost is like my constant, sounds a little strange.. i know”  They literally just listed things that people would recognize and it makes me SICK. Fucking hacks. How stupid do you think I am?

Sigh. I’ll Still Watch.

Every LOST Death So Far.

It was said way back in 2004 that LOST was going to have a higher body count than that of The Sopranos which was 2 seasons from wrapping up at the time. In the 5 4/5 seasons to date, producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have definitely held true to their word.

With the 2nd to last episode of LOST airing tonight, the fine people over at Jezebel edited together this little video of all of the many deaths on the series cleverly set to Jim Carroll’s “People Who Died”

We’ve heard that “dead is dead,” but in the land of Lost—with ghosts, alternate timelines, reincarnation, etc.—that’s not literal. Still, that hasn’t stopped the show from killing off hundreds in its six seasons. Here, a complete roundup. (Via Jezebel)

Average DAPS Reader: Should feel vindicated in his loathing of Star Wars and has LOST to thank for it.

I hate Star Wars, but more than Star Wars, I hate it’s fans. They are like the Yankee Fans of geekdom. Like fucking wow, you memorized some trivia about some campy sci-fi movie, get a life. But what always urked me the most is that they would always try to prove how much more superior Star Wars is compared to Star Trek.

Let me just say this, I am a Star Trek fan, but I know that to compare the two is ridiculous because one is a generation spanning film and television franchise, and the other is just 6 silly Muppet movies.

The biggest gripe I have with the fans is their complete devotion to that hack of a film maker George Lucas. They swear up and down about Lucas having the story for nine movies and how it’s some big epic series. Well If you really believe that, you have to be an idiot (did you see Empire Strikes Back?).

Here is a story that made my fucking LIFE.

Turns out George wrote a letter to Damon Lindelof (co-creator of LOST) that basically congratulates them for a job well done.

Congratulations on pulling off an amazing show. Don’t tell anyone … but when ‘Star Wars’ first came out, I didn’t know where it was going either. The trick is to pretend you’ve planned the whole thing out in advance. Throw in some father issues and references to other stories — let’s call them homages — and you’ve got a series.

In six seasons, you’ve managed to span both time and space, and I don’t think I’m alone in saying that I never saw what was around the corner. Now that it’s all coming to an end, it’s impressive to see how much was planned out in advance and how neatly you’ve wrapped up everything. You’ve created something really special. I’m sad that the series is ending, but I look forward to seeing what you two are going to do next.

The LOST Season Finale Has Leaked and It Confirms Every Theroy I Had About It

There have been few shows in the history of Television that have baffled and entertained as many people as LOST has in it’s 30 year run. (I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been on for thirty years.) But also, so few shows have had their production wrapped in so much mystery as well, which is why I was so surprised when the SERIES FINALE LEAKED!

In the following video you will see the resolution to all of the questions you have. Many of you will have your theories proven true, and many more of you will be upset, but ultimately we will all be happy that this show has ended freeing up our Tuesday nights for something more productive, like Biggest Loser: Couples

Have the Sads about LOST ending? JJ Abrams has you covered with “Super 8″

Those of you who bum-rushed movie houses this weekend to catch Robert Downey Jr’s latest turn as billionaire playboy Tony Stark were privileged to witness the teaser trailer for what will surely be a new notch on JJ Abrams‘ Hollywood championship belt.

With LOST wrapping up this month, fans are surely going to begin suffering from something I’ve been calling “post traumatic LOST syndrome.” This completely fictional disease is a reaction by which LOSTies (or whatever the fuck us LOST fans are calling ourselves) begin dealing with a combination of serious depression and masturbation fits caused by not having enough vague Science Fiction plots confusing the fuck out of us on a weekly basis.

Now, JJ Abrams’ momma didn’t raise no fool. Mr. A understands full-well that he can capitalize on quell the concerns of LOST fans by simply providing them some new cinematic medication. And thus we have “Super 8“, the producer/director’s newest Sci-Fi viral goldmine.

Some of you may remember Abrams struck viral paydirt with 2008’s Cloverfield, whose viral campaign launched full scale websites following the viral marketers every move.
