OMFG, THEY SOLVED THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE THING?!?

That’s right kiddies! According to the all knowing internets I’ve learned the following:

Computer studies of ocean floors around the world, particularly the area known as The Bermuda Triangle, reveal evidence of massive methane explosions in the past. For years, believers in the paranormal, aliens, and other outlandish theories pointed to the the disappearance of ships and aircraft as an indicator of mysterious forces at work in the “Devil’s triangle.” Scientists have finally pointed the rest of us to a more plausible cause.

The presence of methane hydrates indicates enormous eruptions of methane bubbles that would swamp a ship, and projected high into the air- take out flying airplanes, as well.

Any ships caught within the methane mega-bubble immediately lose all buoyancy and sink to the bottom of the ocean. If the bubbles are big enough and possess a high enough density they can also knock aircraft out of the sky with little or no warning. Aircraft falling victim to these methane bubbles will lose their engines-perhaps igniting the methane surrounding them-and immediately lose their lift as well, ending their flights by diving into the ocean and swiftly plummeting.

Holy Crap! This is pretty big news. Finally, the paranoia I feel about my cruise ship sinking is justified! Take that security officers of the Disney Wonder!

Miley Cyrus: Cannot Be Tamed, Can Be Sexy, Makes Me Feel Creepy.

In her newest music video Miley Cyrus aims to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, she “can’t be tamed.” Following the footsteps of the teeneybop queens of yore, Miley is adopting the “act like a little whore” shtick to prove once and for all her un-tamable nature.

The fine people at The Huffington Post wonder if she’s being a little too whorey for a 17-year old.

Miley Cyrus has a new video with a more grown-up feel than her previous music videos and pole dancing routine.

The video for “Can’t Be Tamed” is below, with some screengrabs below that. Miley, 17, plays a caged bird. She has said “The video isn’t about being sexy or about who can wear less clothes. It’s about explaining the song and living the lyrics.” (Click through to vote on their, “is this too sexy for 17″ poll)

My thoughts:

While limited, the special effects in this video are surprisingly impressive. When Miley sprouts wings, the CGI quality was on par with just about any Marvel superhero movie out there today.
The bars on that giant birdcage we’re far too spread out, if Miley was really a dangerous bird-girl creature.. we’d all be seriously fucked. (Who wants to guess which way i intended you to read that?)
On more than one occasion Cyrus looks a lot like one Carmen Electra.
On a related note, those occasions had me feeling like a creepy dirty old man; Sexy 17 year olds aside, this song isn’t very good, even for 2000s pop standards.COMONG!
After a cold shower, I STILL needed to remind myself that Terminator 2, The Simpsons, Pearl Jam and Sonic the Hegdehog are all older than miley cyrus… sigh.

ALIEN VS. WINNIE THE POOH. OMFG!

This is something that REALLY exists and holy shit is it awesome! I’m not sure why someone didn’t come up with this idea earlier, I mean Winnie the Pooh is a bear, so obviously he should be fighting the Aliens from the movie Alien. DUH!

I did a little research on the dudes that put this together, Giant Hamburger, but this was all i could find…

It’s a common story, really. It has the usual elements that one would expect. Monkeys clashing symbols, brains in jars, whispering clowns, robots of all creeds, sinister air-ships, inexplicable organs, rotisserie baseball and the frenzied lashing of long, ropey tentacles just to name a few. I enjoy to dream of a world devoid of the designated hitter. I am inscrutable at times and yet at other times I am easily scruted. Snits often run freely in and out of my fleotus. I am unsure how comfortable I am sharing anything else so early in the relationship. (via Virb.com)
