Staten Island = Beauty Pageant
Staten Island has become, in my opinion, the glamor island. I feel like I’m in an episode of Desperate Housewives or Laguna Beach sometimes.

Staten Island has become, in my opinion, the glamor island. I feel like I’m in an episode of Desperate Housewives or Laguna Beach sometimes.
I cannot go to Dunkin Donuts in the morning without seeing these moms all dolled up to bring their kids to school.
Mind you that it is 8AM and these women all have their juicy couture outfits on, hair blown out, make-up done perfect and dripping in jewelry. It also doesn’t help that they pull out of the parking lot with their husbands Escalade or Cadillac CTS. How do these women possibly get up that early to get all dressed up and have their kids at school by the time the home room bell rings?
Going to the mall around 10am is even better. Walking around in their tight express jeans and Ugg boots, trying to look 21 again. Sorry ladies, its not working. We all know how old you are, stop pretending. If a young guy wants to date a cougar, he certainly isn’t going to be at the mall at 10:00AM. He will be at the Bistro on Thursday night, just like you all are, every week!
Pick up time at school is always the best. Especially if its at a Catholic grammar school. It’s like a competition as to who has the latest trends on and whose got the longest fake nasty looking tips on. We get it, you just stepped out of the tanning booth before you came, why else would you have that alligator looking skin.
I think its about time someone tells them that Staten Island isn’t a beauty pageant. No one really cares what you look like. Maybe if people like this stopped caring what they look like and start focusing on our community, we wouldn’t have such a bad rap, like being the worst borough.
