This video was literally an overnight success. Posted on the eighth, it started gaining traction last night on 4Chan and later Reddit, this morning it has about 1.5 million views, and no doubt ill end up getting regular TV coverage.
The story is as follows. A 15 year old girl, fed up with doing chores around the house, decided to write a long letter to her parents (despite blocking them from viewing it) outlining her gripes. Now if you’ve been on the internet for any amount of time, you now that this is pretty common. Teenagers just don’t know how to handle their emotions and typically share them with everyone in the world, except for the people who they should be shared with.
Her father Tommy Jordan, an IT professional, got a hold of the swear word laden diatribe and was so upset he decided to punish his daughter the only way he could, by making a video of him responding to her post, and shooting her laptop with 9 hollow point exploding .45 rounds.
Now many of you are probably wondering why he took such drastic measures, well, allow Tommy to tell you himself:

So she bought the laptop with her own money, which is why Tommy Jordan felt wrong selling it, but had no qualms about pumping it full of lead. Makes sense!
There is a large debate brewing over this incident and both camps make good points. On one hand, this is an extreme case of emotional warfare. A father acting like a child, to “get back” at his teenage daughter for embarrassing him on Facebook. On the other hand, you have a spoiled brat teen who needs to learn to respect her parents, live up to her responsibilities, and appreciate her life as an American White Girl (who’s photos btw have been found, but wont be posted due to her age).
If you were to ask me, I am on the side of the Father, but disagree with his decision to ruin property which does not belong to him. He was trying to be clever, cute, funny, and came off a bit desperate, but kids today have no respect and sometimes it takes something drastic to teach teens.
But the truth is, I’m on the father’s side for one reason only, he’s more lulzy than his daughter.
