I’ve been seeing this being re-tweeted around the twitter-verse for a couple of days now:
It’s fine because people talking Back to the Future is always fun BUT, it’s 110% WRONG WRONG WRONG.
All these jerks are just re-tweeting bullshit. Check this out: One person makes up a semi interesting psuedo-fact and then the zombies on twitter just re-tweet it like its FACT.
All this confusion is from the original tweeter, whoever that is, used the release date for Back to the Future (July 3, 1985) as the day Doc would be time traveling from. Who in their right mind does that??!?! The writers Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale set up the date many many times in the movie. The events in the trilogy take place from Oct 25-27 1985 not July 3.
GAWWWWWD.
While they did end up in the year 2015, Doc’s original plan was to go exactly 25 yrs into the future from OCT 26th 1985 to Oct 26th 2010. Today is NOT that day jerks. Re-tweet that in your pipe and smoke it!!”
