These photographs by Steven Siegel (I read this as Steven Seagal at first) are a must see today. See how I didn’t refer to them as pictures. That’s because these photographs are a work of art. Siegel captures the true grittiness of the 80′s that have been forgotten in the Disney era of NYC of today.
I don’t remember New York looking this scary though. I guess I started to be conscious in the early 90′s as the city was being cleaned up. But still: GOD DAMN! This collection is a still frame version of Scorsese’s Taxi Driver.
