Carlo’s Cute and Cuddly Critters: Caricature Cat Dreams About All 9 of His Lives

While we are all aware of cats’ unwavering visage of disdain and neutrality to most circumstances, we have yet to understand what the cat is thinking. We have a good idea, based on body language, of how cats may feel but what if you are just looking at a cat’s face? How could you possibly know?

Reddit User DejaMu recently posted a series of photos of a cat poking his head through a hole in a cardboard box. What differentiates these photos from others it that there are playful scene’s drawn around the cat effectively putting the blasé feline in more exciting scenarios. How does the cat react to this? Take a look:

The thing I love about these photos is that no matter how incredible the new scenario is, the cat has no way on knowing it, nor does it actually have the physical ability to react. That’s right folks, cats always look indifferent because they are physically unable to look otherwise.

We can project our own feelings onto them and “find” emotion in their face, but let’s face facts folks, it’s not true. The way to ensure your cat is happy is to feed it, brush it, give it a clean place to shit, and not harm it. If you do all that, you can assure that your pretty kitty is smiling… on the inside.
