This past spring, your favorite viral video producers here at DAPS produced our second high quality music video. This clip, directed by DAPS’ own Nick Caccese (winner of the Staten Island Film Festival’s best screenplay award last month) is for the Avon Junkies song “Bullshit” off their Merchant’s Tale LP.
Avon Junkies are a punk/ska outfit based out of Staten Island, New York. Their latest album “The Merchant’s Tale” hits iTunes, Amazon, and Napster today (July 1st, 2009)
The video, which was choreographed by Gabriella Loutfi, Stars up and comers Sydney Borchman, Rachel Caccese and Catherine Petrouleas. The clip features cameos from DAPS staffers Dave Pacheco, Emilio Sparks and “The Lobsterman”. Crew on the video included Mike Shane, Kristin Pitanza, Damian Thomas and Chris Olivieri.
It was a long tough road, but we did it. Check out the fruits of our labor here:
Below are photos form the set, taken by David Giordano of Freshgrafix.net:
Special thanks to everyone who helped on this video and the fine people at The Cargo Cafe, on Staten Island for allowing us to shoot on location.
UPDATE: Check out our recent tweet featuring some really cool news!!

I have to admit that this might be the most ingenious video that you guys have made thus far. I love the Frank Sinatra film noir feel to the video. Which Sinatra movie is playing in the background?

Glad you liked the video Ian. Two movies in the background, one is Angels with Dirty Faces, with James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart, the other is The Stranger, with Orson Wells. No Sinatra. Not much of his stuff avaiable in public domain.

The intro is like burial or some what like mixecan music. But as soon at it starts wow i love the hype so fast and some white like ska music i love it. Very nice. Ska punk music is not dead.
