5 Whitney Houston Pop-Punk Covers.

I’m a sucker for punk covers. Don’t laugh at me, they’re fun. When you’re not much of a dancer, but can muster up the ability to bounce on the balls of your feet, pop-punk is an excellent way to lose yourself in music. When you combine that pop-punk bounciness with the familiarity of a song your brain has already digested, it’s the perfect mindless energy.

Today, in reflection of Whitney Houston’s career, because she was highlighted on the soundtrack to my 80s and 90s childhood, I’ve collected a bunch of pop-punk covers that take a stab at the singer’s hits.

Enjoy… or hate… whatever, I don’t really care:

“I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by These Kids Wear Crowns.

“Where Do Broken Hearts Go” and “I Will Always Love You” by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes

“The Greatest Love Of All” by Mindless Self Indulgence

(Not really a pop punk cover, but definitely still notable)

“How Will I Know” by Hit The Lights

Wasn’t that fun?? You’re welcome.
